In the initial phase of musical discovery, the student is taught fundamental sight reading skills reinforced with theory basics and two octave scales. The approach is aggressive and exciting. Most students (of all ages) move quickly through this phase with regular practice and lessons. Basic ear training and composition is also taught at this stage.
$28/30 minute Lesson
As a student you are able to sight read without help. Your practice is increasing and your knowledge of theory and technique has taken you through the primer level of curriculum. You are no longer “discovering” the study of music. You are a studying musician.

This stage of musical development requires a longer lesson period as we have begin listening and scripting out music . You are now an avid sight reader and the pieces you progress through take you 2 to 3 months (maybe longer) to learn. In addition, you are branching into other styles and genres of music and your theory study has increased and is a bit more time-consuming as is your practice schedule.

Piano / Vocal Lessons
Music touches the human spirit in a way that nothing else can and the art of making music is a language embedded in every culture that exists. I often tell my students that if they play an instrument well they speak a universal language understood in any country/culture in the world.
Making music gives us the ability to hear each other’s hearts even when we cannot understand each other’s words.

“Jenniffer never runs out of ways to help me with any problems I have; be it technique, fingering or understanding chords. She’s the BEST!”
Narcy Opon, Age 82
“Jenny is literally one of the hardest working friends, single moms and piano teachers that I have ever met. She has a love for music and a desire to teach others how how to make sweet tunes!”
M. Alvarez
“To see your child go from having absolutely no idea of the history behind the music they listen to, and then to seethe picking apart the current soundtrack of their life by knowing the music theory that makes up that rocking beat? It’s a true testament to the heart and soul Jenny puts into her students. She feeds them the knowledge to hear the beat, write the notes and perform in front of their fellow students with confidence.” –
Jason and Erika Freund Dylan (10) and Paxtyn (8)
“Jenny’s skill in performing and teaching music is rivaled only by her fiery entrepreneurial spirit. Everything she touches turns to gold because of how she lives her life: She treats others exactly how she wants to be treated. This type of respect and care goes a long way as an educator, but it is irreplaceable as a small business owner. I have watched Studio 3 flourish over the course of my time with Jenny, and it quickly became the talk of the town. She is able to do in months what would take some years due to her determination and incredible work ethic. She lives in a world of possibilities, but her head is not in the clouds. She can see the challenges, but she meets them head on an exceeds expectations. If she can take a student like me who could only play piano by ear at 15 and have me ready for collegiate level sight-reading auditions by 18, she can do anything. Because of Jenny, I graduated with a bachelor’s in Music in 2016 and now play piano and teach voice regularly. You will never regret time and money spent on Jenny. Your only regret will be not finding her sooner!”

Performance
Studio 3 places a strong emphasis on performance. Whether musicians or non musicians, all of us are required to “perform” on some level in life. Many have a fear of performance. At Studio 3 we combat that anxiety by creating engaging and interactive performance atmospheres on a regular basis for our students to play and sing in.
Classical Recitals present detailed pieces by classical composers in a formal and elegant atmosphere. The Annual Christmas Sing-Along presents beloved carols and happy Christmas Tunes in a festive variety show atmosphere. The audience is encouraged to participate and Santa Claus joins the party! Santa Claus also makes an appearance delighting children and residents
Pops In The Park is actually a piano recital IN the park! Students present their ear training skills through performance of modern ballads, pop songs and original composition.
Developing performance classes are included 1 time monthly with private piano / voice lessons through Studio 3.
Students that are not already enrolled in private lessons through Studio 3 are encouraged to attend bi-weekly. Those just beginning instrument study elsewhere or considering the study of an instrument are also encouraged to attend. Package prices are available.
